If you have been curious about West Coast Swing but were not sure where to begin, Winter World Westies is a welcoming place to step onto the floor. Based in Tromsø and led by WSDC Allstar dancer Jason Sun, our community brings together learning, music, connection, and a lot of joy.
What makes West Coast Swing special
West Coast Swing is a partner dance known for its smooth style, musical freedom, and room for personal expression. It works beautifully with many kinds of music, which means every social dance can feel fresh, playful, and a little different from the last.

What to expect in class
Our classes are designed to help dancers feel comfortable, challenged, and encouraged at the same time. You do not need to arrive with experience or a partner. Just bring comfortable clothes, clean indoor shoes, and a willingness to try something new.
The goal is not to be perfect on day one. The goal is to enjoy the music, learn the basics, and leave class excited to come back.
